Red Tails Movie Review

Red Tails is probably my underrated film of 2012?

Red Tails stars Cuba Gooding Jr.,Terrence Howard, and plenty of other people.

Red Tails is basicly about these African-American men who are pilots and they just go out and fight in dogfights during World War II.Yes a very simple plot, but has a great story to it aswell, but it tries to go for the emotional side which try's to make you cry but nope didn't work on me haha.

Red Tails was a film i was looking forward to one because George Lucas was involved in this film who is now retired :( but another reason was the special effects for the Dogfights in the sky which was a big letdown for me.

Red Tails stars Cuba Gooding Jr. in his first theatrical film since like 5 years ago i believe and he has a really good performance also Terrence Howard both were really good Bryan Cranston who doesn't have lots of screentime has some good lines and a great performance. Some of the African-American fighters whom i could name are Nate Parker as Martin "Easy" Julian who pulled off such a fantastic performance in my opinion but not oscar worthy lol,David Oyelowo as Joe "Lightning" Little who is basicly the troublemaker who  doesn't like to follow orders but he gets lucky, and Ne-Yo as Andrew "Smoky" Salem who has the very funny accent but still a good character with a solid performance.

Now the Dialogue was really...really....Corny i mean it has some lines that i felt like laughing i mean Ne-Yo the singer has a very funny accent in this film and i was like "what is he saying"? that was a major problem the whole corny dialogue.

Now the pretty bad part was the special effects and CGI i mean the film.....the entire film looks insanely cartoonish i mean it looks very animated in parts and i was like "They could've done better than that".The whole aircrafts or clouds look so fake, that i was questioning whether i was seeing a animated movie. But still i think the filmmakers tried their best and it was still stunning to look at.And the action in this film is non-stop there is lots of explosions, guns firing, and Dogfights!

Another thing that hit me was the film did get slow at parts but like in any other film it picks itself back up and moves onto the good stuff.

Overall this is a film that has lots of flaws but i still enjoyed it for what it was so that's why i'm giving Red Tails a 3.0/5.

Contraband Movie Review

Despite what everyone else is saying i actually kind of enjoyed this film.

Contraband stars Mark Wahlberg,Kate Beckinsale,Ben Foster, and Giovanni Ribisi.

Contraband is about Chris Farraday(Mark Wahlberg) who is married to Kate(Kate Beckinsale) and has two sons.Chris used to be a smuggler for like cars, drugs, and money but then Kate's idiot younger brother throws a bag of drugs on the ocean whom he was supposed to give to Briggs(Giovanni Ribisi) but he finds out and wants it back.So Chris is back on a mission and basicly the film goes from there...

This film has good performances Mark Wahlberg gives it his best,Kate Beckinsale was O.K could've been better, and Giovanni Ribisi wasn't a pretty good villian and not scary especially with his tattoos and gun,he was O.K as well.Everyone else who starred in this pulled of a good performance.

The film had some really bad and good shot scenes i mean some were shaky where i couldn't tell what was going on,while in other scenes the camera was in good place.

If you are a expecting a action film don't be because it only has like one big action scene while everything else is mostly suspenseful. The big action scene was the armored truck where a shootout occurs that was really good and especially really well shot, probably the most entertaining part of the film but everything else was ok as well.

My biggest problem with this film is the dialogue that is spoken,Giovanni Ribisi gets some really bad lines that i  felt like laughing no joke.

Overall this film had a lot of flaws it still was pretty entertaining but i recommend don't see this in theaters i stick to a rental but i actually enjoyed it.....so that's why im giving Contraband a 2.5/5 stars.

P.S sorry if i didn't really explain it much because im tired right now and all that but next written review will be better :)

The Devil Inside Movie Review?

Wow already the first week of January and we get this???

The Devil Inside is about Maria Rossi who has commited 3 murders back in the 80's during an exorcism that was being performed on her,she then gets sent to a mental hospital in Rome,Italy. Then the story begins with Isabella Rossi who is the daughter of Maria, and her camera man Michael who joins her as well, she then basicly flys to Rome,Italy to visit her mom,and meets up with Ben and David, two priests who do exorcisms on their own without church authorization.Soon they film some really shocking exorcisms and all hell breaks loose....

This film i didn't really enjoy i mean the only good things about this film were the performances,a few jump scares and the way the film was shot.Everything else was horrible.

The whole cast is great as they look like real people involved in these situations even tough they are just actors. But still fantastic performances from each character in this film.

The film does have its jumpy moments and scary tones but i did not find this movie scary at all i only jumped in about 4 scenes that's it nothing else. All the exorcisms performed in this film were really well shot especially that scene from the trailer which is a girl twisting her legs and bones cracking that was just really well choreographed and noooo CGI so that was quite impressive.

The story isn't really all that exciting as it sounds recycled and sounds like it just came to the directors head and he just decided to start shooting right away.

Now my biggest and huge problem is the ENDING who the hell came up with this ending.Sounds to me like the writers didn't have any idea how to end the movie and just gave us that piece of crap. That is why i hated mostly the whole movie because it has all these situations and intense moments going on and they all lead up to a unfinished resolution.

Overall, this is your typical exorcism movie that has solid performances,a few jump scares, and some O.K shot scenes, while everything else is garbage including the ending. My rating will be a 1.5/5 stars.

THE DEVIL INSIDE:1.5/5 STARS

The Adventures of Tintin Movie Review

The Adventures of TinTin is Directed by the legend himself Steven Spielberg and Produced by Peter Jackson. The films has the voices of Jamie Bell as Tintin,Andy Serkis as Captain Haddock and Daniel Craig as a guy who's name i forgot already.

The Adventures of Tintin is about a young journalist named Tintin and his dog Snowy who find this model of a ship called the Unicorn, while he finds out that other people are looking for it as well.Tintin soon finds Captain Haddock who has something to do with the Unicorn ship, his ancestor Sir Francis Haddock is mainly the side of it.And then they go on a big adventure uncovering secrets of the Unicorn.

Now to start off i'm not really the Motion Capture type as in I don't really enjoy the films with motion capture, but this film has changed my opinion of it because the characters look so realistic and during the middle of the film i was questioning whether they were real or not.

The movie has some great dialogue and it tends to get really slow during the middle but it picks it self back up.The characters have some good dialogue especially Andy Serkis who just delivers in this film.

The film was really well shot i mean its animated but its just looks so beautiful and its really good to look at.The action in this film was beyond amazing i mean there is a action scene that involves a motorcycle on one continouse shot and it was just really well done. The 3D in this film wasn't good as in no gimmicks and it didn't look great.

Steven Spielberg delivers again with another great film with great voice actors and really well done action sequences, but it tens to get really slow in parts and it has some weak 3D but it picks itself back up and it is now one of my favorite animated films of 2011 and that's why it gets a 4.5/5 stars.

Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol Movie Review

Probably my favorite action film of 2011.

Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol is the 4th film in the franchise and is Directed by Brad Bird and brings back Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt. The film also stars Jeremy Renner,Simon Pegg, and Paula Patton.

What this film is about is a terroist bombing happens in the Kremlin while Ethan Hunt and two of the IMF crew are on a mission there and then they are blamed for the attack so the president enables Ghost Protocol which means no safe houses no nothing they are on they're own. Then they are back together on a mission that involves the Russian, codes, bad guys, and nuclear war.

The story in this film was really well done,as it is very similar in my opinion to MI3 but still very well done.

The performances in this film were really good Tom Cruise does a good job with his character and Simon Pegg is still funny as Benji.Jeremy Renner does a good job as well and also Paula Patton who is hot in this film   haha.

The action in this film was amazing, the best action scene in my opinion is probably the Burj Khalifa scene where Tom Cruise climbs the building like spiderman and it was just epic. The action was really well shot and the camera is in good place and thank god there is no shaky cam because that could've ruined this film. But the action was crazy as in awesome. And also Tom Cruise did his own stunts which is really impressive for a 40 something year old man.

The score in this film was good the Mission Impossible theme was really well put in here which i enjoyed.

Now i got to see this film in the early IMAX showings which also showed The Dark Knight Rises prologue which was epic as hell!!!.Some parts in this film were shot in IMAX like the Burj Khalifa scene which expanded the screen and believe me it felt like i was in the middle of everything.Sandstorm chase was also shot in IMAX as well.

Overall this is a fantastic action film that i enjoyed and it is definatly one of my favorite action films of the year so that is why im giving this film a 5.0/5 stars.

MISSION IMPOSSIBLE:GHOST PROTOCOL:5.0/5 STARS
